Boys First Haircuts!

Image
Prior to today, I couldn't imagine cutting off their beautiful bouncing little curls - but now that they had their first haircuts, I am glad I did. They look GREAT. Fresh little haircuts just in time for Christmas. Look at them! They did SO good!! Well...here's a before photo from this morning. And here's Jodie cutting Caden's hair - And Jodie cutting Conor's hair - My parents even came over for the pizza party and hair-cutting event of the year. Finished product Caden! Can you hear me?! ;) Finished product Conor! And me with Jodie's youngest, Jared...my godson! :)

It's Beginning to Look a LOT Like Christmas....

(...minus the lack of snow) This is what the sky looked like off my back deck the other morning. It was about 7:20AM and it was gorgeous. The pictures don't even do it justice. We still love smoothies...and we still love drinking them on the go. Our favorite recipes these days are banana, yogurt, milk, blueberries, spinach and ice. I sometimes add a scoop of protein powder - depends on their diet that day. If they need it, I add it. Here are a few pictures of the boys just LOVING their Christmas tree. Each day, I feel like we put more ornaments on, and more garland. Since I took these pics, we now have silver/gold garland and double the amount of lights. YUM! We couldn't wait til Christmas...we set up their train! It is so cool. It actually says "This is the train to the Polar Express" and has a whistle and bell and everything. Jim and I may be more into it than the kids right now. All for now... xo, Shaz

Oh, Christmas Tree....Oh, Christmas Tree!

A couple of weeks ago, we took the boys to the Woburn Mall for some Papa Ginos! I went with both my mom and dad while Jim worked late. He was preparing to go to Brussels for work - which meant long work days. My parents, me and the boys had a great time and the pizza is obviously so greasy and yummy. My Dad had a good idea to walk down the mall to see if there was a line for Santa. There wasn't - so the boys hopped on Santa's lap and we took a few great pics. No tears! Here's a quick pic of my mornings last week dropping the kids off at daycare AND picking them up. It was a long week with Jim being so far away (5 hour time difference) but I really enjoyed the morning and afternoon time with the boys. And they were pretty much healthy, so they slept wonderfully all week. I just bought these bright orange shirts - I love them! I can find C and C from a mile away. :) We went Christmas Tree shopping a week or so ago. The boys ran all over the place. It was honestly l

Long Overdue Thanksgiving Recap!

We had a nice visit to Cape Cod for Thanksgiving - but sadly, the boys ended up being under the weather most of the time we were there. To be honest, we are still fighting some of those same sicknesses over here. Caden was SO over-the-top fussy during Thanksgiving dinner. For some reason, I found it double hard and stressful when you are around family. All you want is for your kids to be happy and healthy around other people (especially ones they don't see very often). You want their real personalities to shine and you want them to have fun and be fun, right? Well, this unfortunately didn't happen for us this Thanksgiving since they were feeling so poorly. I felt bad for them - and the best thing was for them to rest. Caden was sick overnight and throughout the next few days (after just coming off of another cold and pretty bad cough). And Conor ended up getting an ear infection and now has a horrible cough. He's on amoxicillin. Hopefully his cough settles down soon. It
