Christmas Fun with 3 Boys Under 2.5 :)

My friend Katie and I took all the boys to the Enchanted Village at Jordan's Furniture in Avon yesterday. Growing up, the Enchanted Village was always in Boston - but now it's in Avon. It's free and perfect for young children. Now, there are other events that the kids can do like skating and a visit with Santa. They also play the Polar Express and there's a light show, but the boys were too young for that. Here's a quick recap of our very fun festive day!

We arrived at Katie's new place in Lexington. She just moved last week, so we wanted to see the new pad! I felt like I was moving in too with all the stuff I brought. ;)


We stayed about an hour or so - then headed down to Avon for our outing.

SANTA!!!

They finally convinced me to let them out to walk around a little bit.



Santa again!! This time, the real LIVE Santa. We were waiting to take a picture with him.



Then we went "ice" skating. It wasn't real ice. It was wax or something instead - still very slippery and difficult. Haha but HILARIOUS. If you haven't already, check out my instagram "Shazbythesea". There is a video of us attempting to skate together. Katie was hanging out with Cal during this event.


Not 10 minutes after the skates were off, we were sleeping......


And bedtime after a long, fun day.


Over the weekend, we hosted Aunties Chrissy, Lindsey, and Theresa, as well as Uncle Joe for a fun new tradition. I don't have very many pics from the night - but we had fun. We enjoyed some festive drinks, decorated gingerbread houses, watched the Polar Express and Rudolph, decorated our Christmas tree, and ordered some food. It was so enjoyable...we are making it an annual tradition!





The next day, we had some very fun family time. We put together their Polar Express train and they loveddddd it! They are so into trains right now. They were more into it than last year and they even knew it was from the movie. How fun!!

  Here is Cal’s journal :) Saturday Feb 18 We packed our big van and drove to NEW YORK CITY.  It was a long drive. We got to play the switch for a little bit, and we also rested. We got Subway turkey sandwiches on the way to New York. We stopped at a rest stop to go pee. It was crowded. Then continued driving to New York. We got to the hotel in new york and our room was not ready. We walked to central park and climbed rocks and took pictures of birds. We saw some big horses that had carriages on them for people to have a ride around the park. We went to the central park zoo but it was closed. We then found mom and dads friend Lauren and we got pizza together. Dad helped her get a taxi home. We went to bed in the hotel and saw lots of lights and buildings. Sunday Feb 19 We went back to Central Park to feed the birds and eat bagels. This is What Miscarriage Looks Like…

Me and Jim have some hard news to share. We originally did not think we were going to post something so personal - but while going through this experience, I feel it’s important to share our story and hopefully help other people going through this same emotional roller coaster. It’s sad, it’s frustrating, it’s scary, and quite frankly it is ROUGH.   Here is our story - We surprisingly found out we were expecting over the Fourth of July, our favorite holiday and our favorite week with our favorite people. Naturally, it felt exciting because it was an awesome time. Nonetheless, we were shocked and terrified because our youngest is five. Quite the age gap when you have three kids in 26 months. Fast forward: On Friday, September 24, 2021, when I was 16 weeks pregnant, we found out we were having our fourth boy. We were excited and not at all surprised haha. Cadens Feb Vacation journal

 Here is Mr Caden Francis! Saturday Feb 18 We rented a new car and packed it up on Saturday morning.  We then drove to New York.  It took almost 4 hours! We did a little bit of television, then we rested with our blankets and pillows and then we ate Subway sandwiches.  When we got to NY, we went to Central Park! There were so many birds there. We took a lot of pictures of birds at the New york park (the birds were fat). It was SO FUNNY! We then saw Dad’s friend Lauren and got pizza with her. We watched some youtube videos while we were at dinner. The pizza was so yummy.(My Favorite Bird in the world.) Sunday Feb 19  On Sunday morning we woke up in NY city. We found a place that sold bagels!!! We each ordered a bag and walked back to Central Park. We were sad when we found out the bird sanctuary was closed until 11 o'clock.
