Free Family Photoshoots!

Image
Last year for Mother's Day, my sister and Linds paid for a photographer to come to our house and take family photos since Cal had just been born. I absolutely loved the pics  here in our own home - both inside watching TV/snacktime, and also playing in our backyard. So this year, while trying to stick to a budget, I asked my mom if she would be willing to take a few pics. It was later in the day, Conor and Caden were very tired from a busy weekend, and they were also getting hungry for dinner. Needless to say, it was a veryyyy difficult photo session. My mom was a trooper and surprisingly got several really good family pics. I may try and do it again later in the year, but for now I am very happy with the few good ones that we have! The Good Pics: The Not-So-Good Pics:  Thanks Ma!! You did awesome! All for now. xo, Shaz

Fall Festivities Continue - Apple Picking and Photoshoots

Image
I wanted to write about our annual apple picking fun at Bolton Springs Farm in Bolton. They have a very informative website  specific to the "Pick Your Own" crops and schedule - we were easily able to determine whether or not it was too late in the season to go apple picking. I also called and they said they have different orchards, several of which had plenty of apples left. So off we went!! Bright and early Sunday morning. We visited this same orchard last year with our out of town friends, John and Erin. We reminisced with them a week ago while we were in LA about our apple picking adventure. Conor: Caden: Cal kept hitting me in the face with his apple - and he must've eaten about 12 of them today. He loved them. I think they were really crisp and sweet, plus he is getting a few new teeth - so it felt good! It was a really fun time. It was also wayyyy hotter than I expected - what is with this warm

Fall Beer Tasting - Birthday Celebrations!

Image
What do you do when you and your friends have 6 kids under the age of 3 and a half and you can't make it out to breweries and vineyards for birthday celebrations anymore?  Why, you have one at your house of course! We celebrated the big 33 for John Bosch this weekend and thanks to Lisa and Suz - we put together a fall inspired beer tasting with all the fixings...and all the kiddos! Lisa is an expert in printing menus and labels and all things creativity - so she put together the paddles with all the info! Look how great these came out! John, John, and John! Conor, Caden, and Tori taking a breather while watching Moana. Mama Suz with 5 out of the 6 kids! It is a nice even 3 boys and 3 girls...     The three youngest...Cal, Kenzie, and Kendra! Lisa and Cakes with their baby Kendra. Jim and Adam writing their notes.  Discussing all the beers and taking notes! We mayyyy have created another flight later in the evening after the kids went to bed lol. Bosc
